The NBA is missing a crucial piece of their broadcast team today. Craig Saeger has been reporting from the sidelines for years. Known for his flashy blazers, Sager was diagnosed with leukemia this past week. He’ll be missing the play-offs this year.

To fill in for Craig, the NBA pulled in his son, Craig Sager Jr. to do his sideline reporting duties.

Today was his first day on the job. His first assignment was interviewing the normally prickly coach of the San Antonio Spurs, Gregg Popovich.

Pop assured Craig Jr. that when his dad gets back, he’ll treat him a lot nicer in interviews.
