The last time a decision like this has shut down ESPN, it involved Lebron James. This time, it’s for something much bigger.

Since the audio surfaced this weekend of Los Angeles Clippers owner Donald Sterling telling his then girlfriend to stop associating with minorities in public and to not bring any to his games many talking heads and celebrities have sounded off about what should happen to Sterling.

His team has already displayed their distaste for his remarks with their own silent protest. Big names like Magic Johnson have made it known publicly that he would love to take over the franchise, thus removing Sterling from the scene all together.  Sponsors are pulling out left and right. It’s not looking good for Sterling and his position as owner of the Los Angeles Clippers.

Nothing can be done until NBA commissioner Adam Silver makes his decision. The NBA announced that a decision on punishment for Sterling for his remarks will be made at 2 p.m. today.
