Stephen Colbert will be replacing Dave Letterman on the Tonight Show which means there will be a void on his Comedy Central show.

Colbert will be replaced by comedian and correspondent for the Colbert Report, Larry Wilmore.

Comedy Central will be replacing The Colbert Report will be replaced by The Minority Report with Larry Wilmore in January 2015, Comedy Central announced in release Friday.

“Wilmore will take over the highly-coveted post-Daily Show time slot in January 2015 as host of The Minority Report with Larry Wilmore, a comedic look at news, current events and pop culture from unique perspectives not typically on display in late night television,” the release said.

Wilmore and Stewart will executive produce the television show.

Wilmore has been a writer since the 80’s. He’s been credited on shows like, In Living Color, The Fresh Prince of Belair and the Jamie Foxx show. He’s also listed as a co-creator of the animated Fox show, The PJ’s.
