The Oklahoma City Thunder received some major news today that will certainly change how they approach their match-up against the San Antonio Spurs.

Center Serge Ibaka was determined to have a server injury to his left calf that will have him out for the rest of the post season. The team announced his status on their twitter account

That means that the Thunder will lose a big piece of their team. This will be a huge setback to their plan to win a championship this year.

Ibaka is the Thunder’s enforcer in the paint. He was averaging 12.4 points, 6.2 rebounds and 2.0 blocks a game going into last nights win over the Clippers that propelled the Thunder to the Western Conference finals.

The Thunder will not have to rely on rookie Steve Adams and veteran Kendrick Perkins to pick-up the slack.
