Hip-hop circles certainly know the story of the Thorton brothers, Malice and Pusha T. The two brothers who grew up in Virginia selling drugs and running around in circles with gang bangers. The two managed to escape the violence that surrounded them in their city thanks to their ability to paint pictures with their words.
Those days of selling drugs and not knowing what each day will hold are long gone. The two became a gold selling group and a success on their own. The two then took another route, one that led to Malice finding the Lord and Pusha finding Kanye West.
The rest is history. CNN recently followed the brothers to chronicle that history. Bill Weir took them back to their neighborhoods to speak about their growth as rappers and their start from literally, from the bottom.
