It took a Brooklyn cat to bring back that NYC feeling to hip-hop. Troy Ave. crushed the buildings last year when he released his New York: The Album. Taking a strong pro-NYC stance on every track, Troy made jams that rocked in the 5 borroughs and further.

He’s already starting off 2014 properly. He was named to the XXL Freshman Class list and will be among the big stars on the main stage at this years Summer Jam. Troy is really in the drivers seat for a rapper with no major deal.

Troy recently brought his BSB crew to talk with the Breakfast Club morning show to talk about music, 2014 and the BSB movement. Troy also mentioned the time he called Chance the Rapper a “weirdo” to his face, and gave his feelings on Trinidad James shooting a video in Brooklyn and more.
