Pop culture lost another major figure this year. For decades, Ann B. Davis played Alice on “The Brady Bunch.” Her role as the funny maid who managed to take care of 6 kids became an iconic figure in television history. Today she passed away at the age of 88.

She died earlier this week after suffering from a tramatic fall.

Davis won two Emmys for her role on the 1950’s sitcom, The Bob Cummings Show, but her breakthrough role was as Alice, the joke-cracking housekeeper on the Brady Bunch.

Davis’s agent told NBC that she fell in the shower on Saturday and became comatose. She died this morning at a San Antonio hospital.
