For Boston fans like me, this news is like a blessing.

After coming back from a knee injury, Rondo joined a team full of new faces and a new coach. Rumors churned all year that GM Danny Ainge and Rajon Rondo were on the same page about the all-star point guard being traded.

Let Rondo tell it, he’s not ready to leave Boston.

Rajon Rondo is coming off of a tough year. He only played 30 games after missing most of the season recovering from a knee injury, and his Celtics finished just 25-57.

But things are pointing up for Boston, which owns the 6th pick in this month’s Draft and has been linked to big names like Kevin Love lately. Rondo hits free agency in 13 months, but it seems like he plans on playing in Boston for longer than that.
