The AJC reports that Demetrius Pullins of Atlanta has been sentenced to 21 yeas in federal prison on new weapons adn drug charges.

Pullins, 40 is a know drug dealer in Atlanta. He plead guilty to possession of drugs with the intent to distribute and being a convicted felon in possession of a weapon this past February.

He was sentenced to 21 years and 10 months in prison.

The charges were in connection with an investigation that dates to 2012, according to a news release from the office of U.S. Attorney Sally Quillian Yates. When Pullins, also known as “Foosie,” pleaded guilty he claimed ownership of about $95,000 of crack cocaine, two firearms and more than $5,000.

Pullins’s prior criminal history, which included a three- year federal prison sentence, factored into his punishment, Yates said in the statement.

“Pullins’ armed drug dealing has plagued the community for many years,” said Yates said in the emailed statement.

“Despite three prior felony convictions for drug trafficking spanning two decades, he was unrepentant. This sentence ends Pullins’ ability to sell drugs in our community.”
