As if announcing that Ben Affleck will be taking over the role of Batman isn’t enough stress for fans of the comic legend, this next piece of news might have some jumping off the highest building in Gotham city.

In a recent interview, Justin Timberlake spoke openly about his passion to play the Riddler.

On Tuesday, JT spoke with the Jim and Kim show where he spoke about Ben Affleck being picked to play Batman and what role he would want to play if asked.

“Ben Affleck as Batman, I like it,” Timberlake told Fresh 102.7’s Jim and Kim Show on Tuesday.

He was there to chat up his upcoming film with Affleck, Runner Runner.) “I worked with Ben last summer and I’ve seen his process. I think he’s a brilliant filmmaker. I think he’s an extreme talent so he could surprise a lot of people.”

When asked about playing Batman’s sidekick, Timberlake ruled that out completely.

“Not a chance in hell,” he said, laughing. “I ain’t playin’ Robin. I have no aspiration to ever be a superhero in a movie. Now VILLAIN! Ill tell you the villain I want to play more than anything because I grew up loving Batman, funny enough, is the Riddler. The Riddler is my favorite villain. “The Riddler was like a sociopath,” he said. “He was proper crazy. So if I’m gonna play crazy, I’m wanna play proper crazy.”

He went on to say,  “I’m ready,” said Timberlake. “The Riddler. Gimme a call.”

Ben Affleck is Batman.

The actor will replace Christian Bale as Bruce Wayne in the upcoming untitled Superman-Batman feature for Warner Bros., the studio announced Thursday.

Affleck becomes the eighth actor to play the Caped Crusader, following Bale, George Clooney and Michael Keaton.

“We knew we needed an extraordinary actor to take on one of DC Comics’ most enduringly popular Super Heroes, and Ben Affleck certainly fits that bill, and then some,” WB president Greg Silverman said in a statement.

Directed by “Man of Steel” filmmaker Zack Snyder, the Superman-Batman feature will open worldwide on July 17, 2015, with Henry Cavill, Amy Adams and Diane Lane reprising their roles.

“Ben provides an interesting counter-balance to Henry’s Superman. He has the acting chops to create a layered portrayal of a man who is older and wiser than Clark Kent and bears the scars of a seasoned crime fighter, but retain the charm that the world sees in billionaire Bruce Wayne,” Snyder said in a statement. “I can’t wait to work with him.”

The announcement of a Batman-Superman film was revealed last month at Comic-con to much excitement of fanboys, who will surely be watching as the studio begins to assemble its Justice League.

This past weekend at Comic-Con, some major superhero news was announced.

At a Warner Bros. panel this Saturday, the studio announced that Henry Cavill, the star of this summer’s Man of Steel, will reprise the role of Superman in a sequel that will also feature Batman.

Man of Steel director Zack Snyder will act in the same capacity for the follow-up, expected in 2015.

No casting for Batman was mentioned but Snyder teased that the Gotham City hero’s relationship with Superman in Frank Miller’s seminal 1980s comic The Dark Knight Returns will inform aspects of Man of Steel 2.
