There’s a thin line between something being artsy and creative and something being over the top and out of pocket. Pop star Katy Perry veered way past the former and all the way into the latter during a recent performance.

Perry brought out some big, big booty dancing mummies to join her on stage during her set. The images from the performance so some characters had bit butts, big breasts and bright red lips. Many thought she was more mimmickig what she thought black women look like.

Many didn’t take kindly to her portrayl or attempted portrayl of African-American women and most took to twitter to voice their rage.

Noted hip-hop journalist and historian, Davey D was one of the many who asked why something like this is ok

Davey wasn’t the only one going in. Check out some more tweets here

It’s always good to see two members of the hip-hop world who have had beef with each other in the past, come together to squash that beef.

Jim Jones and Mason “Ma$e” Betha have been at war for years since Ma$e dissed their mutal friend Cam’ron by not showing up to “Horse & Carriage” video shoot. At the time, Ma$e was a way bigger star than Cam and Jim was just Killa’s hypeman. That beef between the Dipset founders and the rapper turned pastor turned rapper again never seem to simmer.

That is until now.

Jones recently posted a photo on Instagram of the two with the caption:

This past weekend, thousands of people of Puerto Rican descent converged onto New York City for the Puerto Rican Day Parade.

Parade floats, good music and even better food bring out those who rep that flag and those that don’t. The event has always brought out a number of celebrities who came out to represent their culture. This year is no different.

Check out some pictures of  Erica Mena, Emily B and more enjoying the parade.

R&beef?

Iconic girls group, TLC came from Rihanna recently, and she came for them right back.

In a recent interview with Channel 7’s Sunrise, both T-Boz & Chilli had a few words for Rihanna, saying that they became one of the biggest girl groups in history without having to sell sex, unlike the Barbadian singer:

“Every time I see you, you don’t have to be naked,” T-Boz said about Rihanna. “It’s easy to sell sex.”

“We became the biggest girl selling group of all time with our clothes on and that says a lot,” Chilli added. “We could go around too with booby cakes out all day long.”

Rihanna quickly clapped back via Twitter, posting a promo photo of TLC with their chests out as her cover pic, and saying she doesn’t care what the “old thots” have to say.

Lebron James

Haters and Spurs fans weren’t the only ones trolling Lebron James last night. Gatorade took a few shots at Bron Bron after his leg cramped up.

Fans were tweeting Gatordade’s twitter account and this is how they were responding

Lets hope Lebron stays hydrated better next game.

Last night, the Miami Heat dropped their first game in the NBA Finals to the San Antonio Spurs, 110-95. During the fourth quarter, as the Heat tried to mount a comeback, they lost a key part of their team. After a missed shot, Lebron James came up with a severe leg cramp.

He was helped off the court by some teammates and didn’t return to the game. Of course, social media had a field day creating memes of the situation.
